The State Youth Policy of the Republic of Armenia has been implemented as a systematized policy since 1995. In 1995 the Department of Youth Affairs (presently-Youth Policy Department) was created in the staff of the Ministry of Culture and Youth Affairs. In 1998 State Youth Policy Concept was adopted. Later in 2006-2007 the state youth policy was adopted and Strategy in 2008-2012. The situation gradually improved in the field of the governmental budget allocated to youth. A number of governmental and non-governmental bodies, centers and foundations have been created which aimed at promoting activities of youth structures. In 2002 the Government of the Republic of Armenia founded state non-profit organization “Center for Organizing Youth Activities” the goal of which is to organize and implement projects and activities to foster State Youth Policy. The UN Department of Public Information in cooperation with the Armenian UN Association, the “Center of Organizing Youth Activities” of the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs and International Organization for Migration Mission organize UN Model conferences in all the regions of the Republic. 
On September 3 Turkish experts Behlul Ozkan, foreign policy expert at the Bogazchi University of Istanbul and Zafer Yoruk, the sociologist and the lecturer at the Izmir University were the guests of School for Young Leaders (SYL) of “Center for Organizing Youth Activities” state non-profit organization.
