About us


The State Youth Policy of the Republic of Armenia has been implemented as a systematized policy since 1995. In 1995 the Department of Youth Affairs (presently-Youth Policy Department) was created in the staff of the Ministry of Culture and Youth Affairs. In 1998 State Youth Policy Concept was adopted. Later in 2006-2007 the state youth policy was adopted and Strategy in 2008-2012. The situation gradually improved in the field of the governmental budget allocated to youth. A number of governmental and non-governmental bodies, centers and foundations have been created which aimed at promoting activities of youth structures. In 2002 the Government of the Republic of Armenia founded state non-profit organization “Center for Organizing Youth Activities” the goal of which is to organize and implement projects and activities to foster State Youth Policy. Objectives support youth in their intellectual, cultural and physical developmentcreate necessary conditions for full involvement of

Arsen Kharamyan, the Deputy Minister  of Sport and Youth Affairs and R.Markosyan, Secretary of the national youth policy board under the RA Prime Minister  present the  Republic of Armenia at the conference. “High Fest” International Performing Arts Festival this year will take place on October 1-8.  About 50 authoritative theatre companies from 35 countries will participate in the festival.

RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan participated in the opening of “Baze” youth assembly organized by Armenian Youth Foundation on August 23, Tsakhkadzor. About 300 young people of 18-30 years old from Armenia, Artsakh and Javakhq are participating in the event.
