The State Youth Policy of the Republic of Armenia has been implemented as a systematized policy since 1995. In 1995 the Department of Youth Affairs (presently-Youth Policy Department) was created in the staff of the Ministry of Culture and Youth Affairs. In 1998 State Youth Policy Concept was adopted. Later in 2006-2007 the state youth policy was adopted and Strategy in 2008-2012. The situation gradually improved in the field of the governmental budget allocated to youth. A number of governmental and non-governmental bodies, centers and foundations have been created which aimed at promoting activities of youth structures. In 2002 the Government of the Republic of Armenia founded state non-profit organization “Center for Organizing Youth Activities” the goal of which is to organize and implement projects and activities to foster State Youth Policy.
